قال نادي الأسير الفلسطيني إن عدد حالات الاعتقال في الضفة الغربية بما فيها القدس منذ بدء جريمة حرب الإبادة ارتفع إلى نحو 22 ألف حالة اعتقال، تشمل من أبقى الاحتلال على اعتقالهم ومن أفرج عنهم لاحقاً، ليشكّل هذا المعطى فارقاً تاريخياً في أعداد من تعرضوا للاعتقال خلال عامين ونصف فقط. وأكد أن هذا المعطى لا يشمل حالات الاعتقال في قطاع غزة، والتي تقدر بالآلاف، ولا حملات الاعتقال في الأراضي المحتلة عام 1948.

وأضاف النادي أن عمليات الاعتقال في الضفة مستمرة وبوتيرة متصاعدة، حيث اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال منذ مساء أمس وحتى صباح اليوم 40 مواطناً على الأقل من الضفة، بينهم أربع نساء بينهن طفلة، إضافة إلى أسرى محررين.

وأوضح أن عمليات الاعتقال يرافقها جرائم وانتهاكات غير مسبوقة، شملت الاعتداء بالضرب المبرح، وعمليات إرهاب منظمة بحق المعتقلين وعائلاتهم، إلى جانب التخريب والتدمير الواسع في منازل المواطنين، ومصادرة المركبات والأموال والمصاغ الذهبي، فضلاً عن تدمير البُنى التحتية، وهدم منازل عائلات أسرى، واستخدام أفراد من عائلاتهم كرهائن، واستخدام معتقلين كدروع بشرية، وتنفيذ عمليات إعدام ميداني، واستغلال الاعتقالات كغطاء لتوسيع الاستيطان في الضفة.

وأشار إلى أن التحقيقات الميدانية الواسعة طالت الآلاف منذ بدء الإبادة، ومارس خلالها جنود الاحتلال جرائم لا تقل خطورة عن جرائم التعذيب في مراكز التحقيق والتوقيف.

وأكد أن سياسة الاعتقال اليومي تُعد من أبرز الأدوات الاستعمارية التي استخدمتها المنظومة الإسرائيلية تاريخياً لاستهداف الفلسطينيين وتقويض أي حالة نهوض أو مواجهة، وقد طالت مختلف فئات المجتمع الفلسطيني، ولا تزال مستمرة ومتصاعدة رغم اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، الذي لم يوقف الإبادة والعدوان الشامل على مختلف الجغرافيات الفلسطينية.

Ramallah, occupied Palestine - The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said Thursday that the number of arrests recorded in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, since the start of the genocide in occupied Gaza has risen to 22,000. This figure does not represent the current number of Palestinian political prisoners - it includes those who remain in detention as well as those who were later released. 

The PPS said this constitutes an unprecedented rise in the number of arrests within just two and a half years. It clarified that this figure does not include arrests of Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, which are estimated to number in the thousands, nor the arrests in the 1948-occupied territories.

The PPS added that arrest operations in the occupied West Bank are ongoing and escalating. Between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Israeli occupation forces  arrested at least 40 Palestinians across the West Bank and Jerusalem, including four women—among them a minor—as well as former prisoners.

Arrest operations are accompanied by unprecedented levels of crimes and violations, including severe beatings, organized acts of intimidation against detainees and their families, widespread vandalism and destruction of homes, confiscation of vehicles, money, and gold jewelry, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, demolition of prisoners’ family homes, taking family members hostage, using detainees as human shields, carrying out field executions, and using arrests as a cover to expand illegal settlements in the West Bank.

The PPS noted that large-scale field interrogations have affected thousands since the beginning of the genocide, during which occupation soldiers committed acts no less serious than torture carried out in interrogation and detention centers.

It stressed that the policy of daily arrests is among the most prominent colonial tools historically used by the Israeli system to target Palestinians and undermine any state of mobilization or resistance. It has affected various segments of Palestinian society and continues to escalate despite the ceasefire agreement, which it said has not halted the genocide or the comprehensive aggression across all of Palestine.
