Ramallah, occupied Palestine- Between Friday night and Saturday morning, Israeli occupation forces carried out mass arrest campaigns across the West Bank, detaining and conducting on-site interrogations of at least 80 Palestinians, including former prisoners. The number is expected to rise as raids and arrests continue.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society said the campaign came one day after a massacre carried out by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the town of Tell, in the Nablus Governorate. Mass arbitrary arrests focused primarily on Tell, where dozens of residents were detained and subjected to field interrogations as part of a policy of collective punishment and retaliation against Palestinians.

The organization added that Israeli occupation forces have continued to escalate arrest campaigns and on-site interrogations at an unprecedented pace, alongside increasing attacks by Israeli settlers. Most of the recent arrests have followed Palestinians' attempts to confront settler attacks and protect their towns and lands.

Israeli occupation authorities are expanding the use of field interrogations as a systematic tool of repression, turning them into a regular policy across different governorates. Large numbers of people are detained for extended periods, families are forced to leave theirhomes, and raids are accompanied by intimidation, vandalism, and the destruction of homes and property, as well as physical and psychological abuse before or during arrests.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society said these actions are an extension of long-standing Israeli policies aimed at targeting the Palestinian presence and enforcing control through repression. It added that the period following the crime of genocide has seen an unprecedented escalationin violence and abuses, both during arrests and inside Israeli prisons.

Daily arrest campaigns are one of the main tools of the broader offensive against the Palestinian people. More than 3,600 arrest cases have been recorded in the West Bank since the beginning of 2026, in addition to thousands of Palestinians who have been subjected to field interrogations. The organization added that these figures are not without precedent, noting that during the first months of the genocide, it documented an unprecedented surge in arrests and field interrogations, recording the highest numbers of such cases as part of a policy of expanding the collective targeting of Palestinians.
